Began work on a video for Festivals 360, so far I have created a typography based animation for the logo I've been given. Extra animations will be added before this and some special effects :) what do you think?

ToonBoom Showcase

After my presentation the other day and some constructive and encouraging words from my lecturers Studart and Laura, I've decided to submit my Medusa video up; Beauty, Ruined. To ToonBooms Showcase section on their website. Fingers crossed it will go up there :D

The Parthenon

Here are some stylized images of the Parthenon for my Medusa Origin Story. Not sure which style looks, its still early days in the project but could do with some feedback.

Thinking the foreground and background will be blurry in the final animation anyway to give a feeling of depth of field, but what do you think?

Medusa's Story

For the upcoming project of myths an legends, I have decided to based mine on how Medusa became a Gorgon. There are a few stories of how this happened, I decided on the one which includes Poseidon.  During my research I found out that Medusa, apparently, had "golden skin and wings with hair of asps" i have tried to portray this as best I can.
Here are some concepts I have drawn up for the 1 minute animation.

Been a while since I posted on here but been little busy.
All handed in for the second year of uni which means

brand new videos up on Vimeo including;

• finished planet
• channel 4 documentary advert
• e4: e-sting
• Monopoly animations: dog, battleship, car and hat

Got a week brief next week before finishing for the summer,

no one knows what it is so this should be interesting :-D

From Gums to Monopoly

I finihsed the title sequence for Jacqui's Gums animation. I have yet to show it her and see if she wants anything adding or changing. I have been asked to create a series of short monopoly based animations how ever for some Drama Students at the university. I have began work on one which has taken me just over 3 hours so far due to trying to play around with the 3d effects on Animate Pro. Once this one is complete just another 5 to go, wish me luck :P

Rough initial character designs (lion and a cheetah) I drew up a few weeks ago for my Little Planet project 'Lazy Planet'.

Gums

As part of collaboration breif, Jacqui (the logic fairy) has sent me various pieces to work on.
She has first of all asked me to work on the title sequence for Gums. She said she wants the title to not be bland and boring so wants it animated with blood dripping from the wording.
she has sent me the font and i have began running tests on how the blood could drip in photoshop, however I think using toonboom animate pro would help me much more in this animating process and so will run some tests in the too.

As well as working on this I am also going to practice drawing her characters for the animation. Should I finish the Gums title sequence in pleanty of time, by studying her characters and knowing how to draw them I would then be able to help her in the main animating process should she need my help with it.

Work for Festivals

 As well as the projects I have been given at university, to create a planet that represents myself, create a Channel 4 controversial title introduction, create an experimental e4 sting and work for Jacqui Davis (http://www.blogger.com/profile/04883065926535835464) on her 3rd year animation 'Gums'; I have today been asked to create an animation for a website for quite a well known festival group :-)

I met Ryan at the pub I work at, he is a regular who gets along with everyone. After seeing much of the graphics work I have produced for the pub and showing him my animation work he has asked me to produce a number of moving graphic animations for his website.
